Graphite Gasket Material Inserts

Homogeneousrollsor sheets are free of any fibers, binders or additives.  This makes it extremely conformable to any flange surface imperfections in a relatively low pressure sealing condition.  Is is often used for metal jacketed gaskets, heat exchanger gaskets and corrugated metal gaskets.  Carbon content of this graphite material is 98.2%

Stainless Steel Tang inserted graphite is reinforced with 316SS.  It is an ideal material for most industrial fluid sealing applications.

Stainless Steel Foil inserted graphite has same properties and application uses as Tang reinforcement.  This is the most commonly requested graphite gasket material which contains .002" stainless steel foil.

Wire Mesh inserted graphite has a carbon content of 98%.

Tinplated Carbon Steel Tang inserted graphite is recommended for automotive and other combusion engine applications, or similar sealing conditions.  It is typically used for head gasket and exhaust gasket.
